Outfit and Shoe guide 4 Vintage Barbies SPIKES!

Hi! I am writing this guide to have a quick reference to what color Spike go to which outfit. This should be easier than the other shoe guides as Spikes didn't gee with many outfits.
Let me start by saying if you are a new collector or a seller there is a difference in vintage BarbieLand as what is referred to as a spike and what is referred to as a pump~ Closed Toe Pump to be Exact. I see novicesellers referring to Closed Toe Pumps as Spikeseveryday.
Spikes are yes Closed Toe but do have a much higher heel than the closed Toe pumps. Spikes are More Glamourous, More Sexy, More Rare and Therefore More desireable. And let me add~ Unlessyou luck out on a Fabulous CheapBuy it now or your Granny finds you some in her attic~ They are going to costyou. They made9 colors of the spikes~ Yes I did say9 as they did make a very few in Black ( Extremely Limited in numbers and only a few have been found)
Closed Toe pumps are about a 11 millimeters from the bottom of the heel to the top of the back of the shoe.
Spikes are about 13 millimeters from the bottom of the heels to the top of the back of the shoe
The front toe closure gees up higher on the spikes than the regular Ct Pumps and they are all marked Japan on the bottom of the sole.
Honey West Black spikes look very similar to Barbie spikes but hers are marked Japan on the inside of the shoe. (All Real Spikes are marked Japanon the bottom)
All came with the 1600 outfits except for the Prince's Cinderella with which came aregualar Closed Toe or a rarer Spike.
I didn't date these as they all came out in 1965 except The Prince Cinderella Clear VHTF Spike, it was 1964.
Now here's the Outfits~ Hopes this Helps! Jackie
