beware the DVD Visors

Im writing this to save SOMEBODY the difficulty Ive just had. Beware the sunvisor monitors with the built-in DVD!! First, the prevelant model is a hard plastic piece that is VERY unlikely to fit the stock space. second, the install bracket is not a match either...so do you REALLY want to cut into your roof? And lastly, they just dont work..now, some may...many will work for a little while...but you just are not going to have the same quality or reliability as going with a good dash mount DVD feeding QUALITY monitors set in the FACTORY visor...sure its more work and no, everyone cant watch their own video, but it WILL work for more than a week.I also want to write that buyers need to really strap themselves in for a 'different' experience if you choose to buy or bid from a gepany in China. Unless that feedback is FLAWLESS, stay away!! The gepany I dealt with had a 98 feedback that soon dropped to a 94, and if that still sounds like good odds for decent transaction, all I can say is count on being the 1 in 10! Posting items not in stock, delays w/o gemunication even when you pay for expedited shipping, LOW quality or even broken items sent. REMEMBER- their idea of testing is hook it up to power and if the screen turns blue...ship it. And when there's a problem, the REAL fun begins...IF you get a response a week or two after emailing over and over, YOU have to pay to return the defective merchandise, and for china, a single visor costs 40.00 to return (that cheap price isnt so cheap anymore, especially if you value your time AT ALL. In my case, a USED refurbished that didnt even power up was sent as my replacement!!!! Then consider the AG of filing a geplaint with PAYPAL (and if you didnt use paypal, COUNT on being ignored and having no recourse!!!) and the expense of a return...60 more dollars. And when the gepany gets enough bad feedback that buyers stop...they change the name, use the SAME pictures and go on fleecing people.Especially beware of dealing with A-smart (.cn or .hk) they are the gepany I had all the problems with. BUT along the way I learned a lot about car video and eventually about custom installation.
